Opening skylights – a natural way to cool your home

KITELEYS offers three types of opening skylights – solar, electric or manual.
These products can stand alone, or be combined with a blind.

Opening skylights help create the “stack effect”, where warm air moves up and out of the skylight making room for cool, fresh air to flow in through doors and vertical windows. It’s a natural way to keep your home cooler in summer.

VELUX Solar Powered Skylight (VSS)

The ultimate skylight solution. Powered by the sun, with a super-efficient battery, this product is operated by a remote control and includes an external rain sensor that automatically closes the skylight.

VELUX Electric Skylight (VSE)

This option is simply to install, offers the convenience of a remote control and has an inbuilt rain sensor. It also includes a timer function and blocks 80% of radiant heat.

VELUX Manual Skylight (VS)

There’s nothing basic about the Velux’s manual skylight! Operated by a winder or rod, depending on the skylight height, it offers an affordable and stylish way to let light stream in and hot air flow out of your home.
